POdcast and audio work
My podcast and audio work has focused on producing, recording, editing, and mixing interview-led shows that document community stories and local music culture. I co-founded Brookfield Listenin’ after lockdown as a way to reconnect people and share their experiences, and I also co-founded The PREAMP Project, a longer-form audio series exploring Preston’s music scene across different generations and genres. Across both projects, I was responsible for the sound recording, editing, mixing, and release, and I also composed the original intro and outro music used throughout each podcast. Together, these projects reflect my ability to shape audio work from initial concept through to final distribution, while maintaining a clear creative identity across both community-focused and music-led content.
Brookfield Listenin'
2021
Project brief:
To create a community podcast after lockdown that helped re-engage local people and share their stories. The series consisted of three episodes: one with local mums, one with local young people, and one with support workers in the area.
Role :
Podcast producer, recording engineer, editor, mixer, and release/branding lead.
What I did:
I recorded the sound for each episode, edited and mixed the podcast, and handled the release of each episode on YouTube. I was also responsible for the branding and presentation of the series, and I created the intro and outro theme music used to open and close each episode. This gave me responsibility for both the technical production and the public-facing identity of the project.
Outcome:
The podcast produced three focused community conversations that helped reconnect with local people after lockdown. It also demonstrated my ability to take an audio project from recording through to branding, final mix, and public release.

The PReamp Project
2022 -2024
Project brief:
To produce PREAMP, a music-focused podcast series exploring Preston’s past, present, and future through conversations about music.
Role:
Podcast producer, recording engineer, editor, mixer, researcher, guest curator, and composer of intro and outro music.
What I did:
I worked as part of the team that put the podcast together alongside Chris Davis. I recorded each episode, which typically featured three guests and a host, and helped curate guests and research each episode in advance. I also
created the intro and outro music, and supported the overall build of the series from production through release. The podcast was recorded primarily in Logic Pro X using SM58 microphones through a four-input Behringer audio interface.
Outcome:
The project became an 18-episode audio-only podcast series released on major podcast platforms including Spotify. It documented Preston’s music culture across different generations and perspectives and showed my ability to help produce, shape, and deliver a substantial independent podcast series.
